A head-on collision between a passenger bus and a petrol fuel truck in southern Russia on Friday killed at least 20 persons, the Interfax agency reported, citing police accounts, according to dpa. Initially the agency had reported at least 10 killed, with another 40 persons hospitalized, after the accident near the town of Rostov on the Don river, some 1,000 kilometres south of Moscow. Further details were not immediately available. Officials did not say whether the petrol from the fuel truck had caught fire.
