The Arab League strongly condemned on Saturday the two terrorist attacks that targeted the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, yesterday, leading to the death of the innocent people and causing injuries to a large number of others. The Arab League General Secretariat, in a press release, extended its condolences to the families of the victims and the wounded, while reiterating support to the Indonesian government and people in efforts to combat terrorism and bringing the perpetrators to justice. It noted that these terrorist acts conflicted with the teachings of Islam, which preached humanitarian and moral principles. Two blasts targeted the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott hotels in Jakarta yesterday, killing nine people and wounding at least 50 others.
