Upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the first Saudi cargo aircraft, laden with100 tons of relief materials, arrived in Bangladesh this evening. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after officially having received the consignment, Bangladeshi Minister of Food and Disaster Management Dr. Abul Razak expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for this relief assistance, confirming that the Saudi government was always in the front line of humanitarian providers. For his part, the Saudi ambassador to Bangladesh and Nepal Dr. Abdullah Al-Baseeri said the assistance sent upon directives of the monarch comes within Saudi effort to help alleviate the impacts of the devastating hurricane that hit the country.
