Saudi newspapers commented editorially today on a number of topics with a prime focus on opening of the SR 20 billion Yanbu National Petrochemicals Company (YANSAB) and SR 574 million projects for the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY). The Jeddah-based Al-Bilad, commenting on the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the Madinah region said the King has reiterated his keenness on implementing more development projects in Makkah, Madinah and the Holy Places to enable the pilgrims and visitors of the Holy Mosques and other sacred places, perform their rituals in comfort and ease. The daily believes that the expansion project at Prince Abdul-Mohsen bin Abdulaziz airport in Yanbu indicates that all potentialities will be mobilized for the reception of the planes arriving in Madinah region. The visit of the King to the industrial city of Yanbu provides clear evidence that the Kingdom is going ahead on the path of developing its economic capabilities for creation of new job opportunities for the sons of the country and ensuring the transference of modern technology. The daily pointed out that the Kingdom will receive later today US Treasury Secretary Timothy F.Geithner, which means that the Kingdom is a major partner for realizing stability in the world market and for facing the adverse impact of the global economic crisis. --MORE
