The oil price of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) dropped below 60 U.S. dollars at the end of last week, the Vienna-based group announced Monday. The Group's basket price settled at $59.86 per barrel (159 liters) on Friday, 0.72 dollars lower than on the previous day. It was the first time since late May that crude oil produced by OPEC's 12 member countries stood below the 60-dollar mark, according to a report of The German News Agency "DPA". The group pumps over a third of the world's oil supply.
