Quds, Palestine, July 12, SPA -- An International organization revealed that the number of tunnels that have been dug so far under the Al-Aqsa Mosque are approximately estimated to be 20 tunnels. Some of these tunnels are now open for tourists and some others are still under construction. Ziad Hassan, the Executive Director of the Al-Quds (Jerusalem) International Foundation said in a statement that the real objective behind the excavations and tunnels is to establish a Jewish tourist city. Hassan said there are a lot of Palestinian institutions aware of Israeli scheme and its objectives in the city of Al Quds, but no one can claim to have fully informed on all the tunnels and excavations and what would they lead to. The main objective of these tunnels is to establish a Jewish tourists city, and wrongly impressed up tourists that under the Blessed Mosque of AL Aqsa lies some features of Jewish heritage, he said. A substantial part of the Judaization scheme is through the acquisition of the area of Silwan to convert it to the so-called (David Park) and the rehabilitation of the western region to be the founding place of "synagogue of Light” and then the establishment of so-called Holy Jewish city parallel to the old town.
