Riyadh Ship, one of the two ships, presented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Egypt, arrived at Dhiba Seaport in Tabuk Region for sailing on its first trip between Saudi Seaport of Dhiba and Egyptian Seaport of Safaga after completion of operating requirements. The King and Egypt's President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak inaugurated the two ships at Jeddah Islamic Seaport, on Dhu Al-Hajjah 7th, 1429H. Ahmed bin Hamdan Al-Balawi, the Chairman of Board of Directors of Marine Navigation Company in charge of operating the two ships "Riyadh" and "Cairo" pointed out that the ship can accommodate 1, 220 passengers; its speed is 37 nautical miles; and the trip between the two seaports takes nearly 2 hours and a half.
