The Office of the Cultural Attaché in Cairo and the club of the Saudi students held last night a reception to mark the end of their activities for the current academic year. The reception was attended by Prince Badr bin Abdul-Mohsin bin Abdulaziz and Saudi ambassador to Egypt Hisham Nazir. Dr Khalid Al-Anqari, the Minister of Higher Education, in his speech delivered on his behalf by Dr Abdullah Al-Mousa, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for scholarships, said the number of the students who are on scholarships jumped from 5000 in 1425 AH to 60,000 this current academic year. Moreover, the number of the offices of the cultural attaché jumped from 13 in 1426 AH to 33 at present. He highlighted the significance of the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for scholarships and said the program began yielding positive results. The activities of the reception included poems recited by Prince Badr bin Abdul-Mohsin bin Abdulaziz.
