Airbus says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Central and Eastern European low-cost carrier Wizz Air for the sale of 50 A320 single aisle jets, according to AP. The deal is expected to become a firm order shortly, Airbus' John Leahy said at a press briefing Thursday. The jets have a total list price of $3.8 billion, Leahy said. Wizz Air already operates a fleet of 24 Aribus A320s. Counting the new orders, that means the Hungarian company will have bought a total of 132 Airbus aircraft, Airbus said in a statement.
