Minister of Civil Service Mohammed bin Ali Al-Fayez has highlighted the significance of the Day of Pledge-Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and said it is an important historical event. The 26th day of the Sixth Hegira month in 1426AH is the date during which the citizens have pledged allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as the King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he said, noting that Allah Almighty has bestowed the bounties of security and prosperity on the Kingdom after being unified under the leadership of King Abdulaziz more than hundred years ago. "This day also constitutes a remarkable development for the path the Kings had sincerely worked for the service of the Kingdom". The Kingdom under the leadership of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has surpassed all aspirations in various domains of life, he said, noting that 'we have the right to call the Kingdom the happy and a welfare state which has earned under the leadership of King Abdullah - the King of humanity, a great status". The Kingdom in this luminous, lucent and bright era has attained unmatched achievements in the international political domain as well as in the economic, social, educational and health domains". The civil service has been accorded a big attention by the King either at the level of systems which have been developed and updated or at the level of employees whose situation have been improved as regards salaries and increments and other incentives. More than 100,000 have been appointed at permanent jobs, and more than 200,000 teachers have benefited from the new arrangements and regulations, he disclosed. Arrangements are underway to further improve the situation of the employees, he said. "Congratulations to this dear country, we pray to Allah Almighty to keep the King in a good health and to perpetuate his bounties bestowed on our country. I would like to congratulate all along with our wise leadership on this happy occasion," he added.
