based Al-Yaum said the triumph of Ahmadinejad in the presidential elections means victory of the ideological conservatives who are keen on spreading debatable ideologies not only outside Iran but also inside Iran itself.
The paper added that the victory of Mir Mousavi constitutes a victory for the ideology of the reformists who are capable of co-existence with others and practicing the responsibility of the responsible civil state.
"We, in the Kingdom and in the Gulf region will be happy if the Iranians elect the reformists who will work for bringing about peace in the region and avoiding menaces of all foreign plots as well as enabling its nations to work for the acceleration of the development process.
"Moreover, coexistence and harmony between the Arab countries and Iran will serve mutual interests while militarization of relations and feeding communal strife and sectarian disputes will only serve the ideologists who agitate emotions and poison the environment so as to appear as heroes," the paper commented.
The choice is for the Iranians either to go on the path of militarizing Iran and gaining more enemies or to go on the path of internal and external peace and to mobilizes their potentialities for building their economic and scientific capabilities for the development of their country, the daily added.
