Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived today in Dagestan on a working visit, Itar-Tass reported. The republic's leader, Mukhu Aliyev, and presidential envoy in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, welcomed him at the Makhachkala airport. On his way from Moscow to Makhachkala, Medvedev discussed the situation in Dagestan with Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov.
