British Defence Secretary John Hutton has resigned from the cabinet of embattled Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the BBC said Friday, according to DPA. Hutton became the fourth minister in three days to step down from the government in den midst of a spiralling leadership crisis engulfing Brown. Hutton, a strong ally of former prime minister Tony Blair, said he would step down for personal reasons. Hutton became defence secretary last October.
