A member of the US delegation in France to prepare President Barack Obama's D-Day visit to Normandy has been diagnosed with swine flu, dpa quoted French authorities in the city of Caen as saying today. The woman was brought to a hospital in Caen to be treated for the illness. Her condition was said to be not serious. Eleven people who had been in close contact with her were given preventive medicine and were confined to their hotel for observation for one day. Obama is scheduled to travel to Normandy for the ceremonies commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Allied landings on the coast of Normandy during World War II. There have so far been 20 confirmed cases of swine flu in France.
