The White House on Thursday said that U.S. President Barack Obama is set to visit a medical facility that supports U.S. service men and women in Germany, during his visit to the country next week. Obama will visit wounded warriors and their families at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Facility in Germany on June 5, 2009. “Landstuhl supports our service men and women stationed in Europe, and serves a leading and vital role in the care and recovery of personnel medically evacuated from Afghanistan, Iraq, and other forward-deployed posts within the U.S. European Command, Central Command and Africa Command areas of responsibility,” the White House said in a statement.
