the challenges of energy markets and cooperation which was discussed by the Council, the final statement made clear that the world is facing great challenges and so international efforts should be consolidated in a serious cooperation to counter the energy prices fluctuations and attract investments to the sector of energy. So, the Council welcomed the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to invest in technology whether from the side of updating the mechanisms of access to oil or from the side of increasing the productive capacity of oil. It also welcomed the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the principle of integration between exporters and consumers, which aims at creating a global movement of joint action in the energy issue, commending the fruitful role of the Kingdom in the dialogue between exporters and consumers, leading to the holding of the ministerial meeting every two years with its Riyadh-based Secretariat, and the launching of the initiative of the common oil data leading to the enhancing of the transparency of oil markets.
