Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdurrahman Ala'ateyah spoke on the danger of using radioactive materials at the first conference of protection from radiation currently being held here. Ala'ateyah commended the countries that managed to use the peaceful applications of the nuclear energy pointing out cooperation among the GCC general secretariat, King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology and environment departments of the GCC countries to prepare a unified law to guard against radioactive materials.
