A Palestinian human rights organization has disclosed that Israeli Occupation Forces and settlers killed 868 Palestinians in 2008 including 820 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and 48 in the West Bank. In a press conference, the Director of Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Raji Al-Soarni said in his presentation of the annual report on the situations of human rights that the last year (2008) has been more ferocious and brutal in the Gaza Strip since 1967 war, especially the last five days after the Israeli aggression which was launched on the Gaza Strip and led to the Killing of half the number of the martyrs for one year. He noted that the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers has risen to 5, 287 persons since the start of the Uprising in September 2000, until the end of the year 2008.
