JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn over the victims of the recent earthquake in Bangkok. "We have learned of the earthquake that struck Bangkok and the resulting deaths, injuries, and missing persons. As we share in your sorrow over this tragedy, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Majesty, the families of the deceased, and the friendly people of Thailand. We pray for the safe return of the missing and a speedy recovery for the injured, and that you be spared from all harm," King Salman said in the message. Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman also sent a similar message of condolence to the Thai monarch. "I was deeply saddened to learn of the earthquake in Bangkok and its tragic consequences. I offer Your Majesty, the families of the deceased, and the friendly people of Thailand my heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy. I pray for the safe return of the missing and a swift recovery for the injured, and that no further harm may befall your country," the Crown Prince said.
