Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali Al-Naimi met here today Tunisian Minister of Industry and Energy Eng. Afif Shalabi. The Tunisian minister's visit to the Kingdom comes in response to an invitation from Al-Naimi. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and Tunisia in the field of petroleum and minerals focusing on cooperation between Saudi Aramco and the Tunisian Chemicals Complex. The two sides urged the private sector in Tunisia to invest in the field of manufacturing used-materials in the sector of petroleum and gas in line with the set regulations in the two countries. The talks focused on exchange of expertise between Ma'den Company and the Tunisian Phosphates Company and Tunisian Chemicals Complex. The meeting also called for cooperation as regards exploitation of mineral resource and exchange of technical information in addition to exchange of visits by the two sides. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials in addition to Tunisian ambassador to the Kingdom and the minister's accompanying delegation.
