Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah announced today he will meet with the leaders of the six Gulf States in order to acquaint them of the arrangements made prior to the Consultative Gulf Summit in May 5th in Riyadh. Al Attiyah said that the summit will discuss a number of issues including agreeing on a permanent headquarters for the Gulf Monetary Council which comes ahead of a unified Gulf currency. He added that the summit will also discuss the status quo in the Mideast with the Palestinian cause topping its agenda criticizing the recent Israeli government's stance on a two-state solution. He also warned that such attitude might undermine efforts to revive the peace process. He also called upon the International Community to take action and put an end to the provocative Israeli statements.
