An explosion at a detonator and dynamite warehouse at a coal mine in central China killed at least 18 people on Friday, according to Xinhua. Three people were injured and two were missing from the blast, according to the state-run media agency. The three-storey Qingshanbei mine in Hunan Province was flattened by the explosion, the agency reported. Police are investigating whether the detonators and dynamite in the warehouse in the mine were illegally bought and stored, Xinhua said. Authorities were also looking for the owners of the mine, according to Xinhua.
