Governor of Taif Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Moammar will open here on Tuesday the 3rd Taif national Diabetes Conference organized by King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital at Masarah Intercontinental here, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs in the city. The conference's main topics include 'Progress towards the development of an artificial pancreas,' current standards for management of diabetes and its complications, diabetes mellitus in pregnancy, diabetes in children and metabolic syndrome. On the fringe of the conference, there will be three workshops on how to prescribe diet in accordance with Saudi culture, care of diabetic foot and meet the experts with difficult management cases. Dr.Mohammed bin Maatuq Usaimi, Rector of King Abdul Aziz Specialist Hospital Program said that the conference which will be attended by a select group of consultants specializing in this specific area from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad, provides access to scientific and research updates on diabetes.
