Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Ahmad Zainal Ali Reza, who is also Chairman of Higher Committee of King Abdulaziz Award for Quality, stressed Sunday that the award has been the most prominent event at economic national, both at Gulf and Arab arenas. In a statement marking the ceremony of handing over the award to the winning companies scheduled to take place on Monday, the minister pointed out that King Abdulaziz Award for Quality aims to develop various sectors of the state through the application of systematic and global standards leading to the excellence in their performance, noting that the distinguished efforts exerted by the companies will be culminated in honoring them by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On his part, the Director General of Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) and the Award's Secretary General Nabil bin Amin Mulla said the Organization has exerted all efforts to make the Award a distinguished and pioneering one at national, regional and global levels.
