Sri Lankan soldiers killed eight Tamil Tiger rebels in separate sniper attacks in the war-ravaged north, the military said Sunday. Military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara said the soldiers launched the attacks on rebels outside a designated «no fire» zone in the north on Saturday. He said eight rebels were killed, while army troops did not suffer casualties, according to a report of Associated Press.
