Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Fahd bin Abdulmohsen Al-Zaid stressed the keenness of Saudi Arabia to support efforts exerted to establish peace in the region. In a press statement on the sidelines of meetings of a number of Arab foreign ministers held in Amman earlier today, Al-Zaid said that any peace must be built on the bases of the international legitimacy, especially the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian national soil with the sacred Al-Quds as its capital, and the removal of all settlements. The meeting of Arab foreign ministers, held in Amman earlier today, reflects the Arab consensus and their common position towards the peace process in the framework of the Arab peace initiative which was approved at Beirut summit, he added.
