French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner described the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the Kuwait Summit on Arab reconciliation as a hope initiative for a joint actual movement for Palestinian reconciliation. In a press conference held here today, he thanked the kingdom for the hospitality and stressed the useful and effective results of meetings with Saudi officials. He stated that he conveyed to the king a message from Nicolas Sarkozy President of the Republic of France earlier today. He said that it was a message of amicability and respect and discussed ways of cooperation between the two countries. He added that he talked with the king on the situation in the Middle East, the Palestinian national reconciliation, the problems facing the Arab world and the economic crisis. Kouchner said that the kingdom and France agreed on the need for organizing the financial situation between the two countries. Later, the French minister left Riyadh.
