The Saudi Cultural Department in France and Spain has organized in cooperation with King Abdulaziz University a Forum on Islamic Economy at Business School (IE) in Madrid. The participants included a number of Saudi professors and specialists in the field of Islamic Economy from King Abdulaziz University, as well as their counterparts from Spanish institutions. The Forum came according to the partnership project to be implemented between the two sides in the field of Islamic Economy at the School. In a statement to a number of the media organs, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to Spain has said that Islamic economics has been one of the most important fields in humanities that have been addressed in education at Saudi universities. He pointed out that the level of Saudi universities today calls for any advanced university in the world to create partnerships and to build scientific and research cooperation with them in all fields of knowledge, noting that the great quantity leap in higher education and institutions in Saudi Arabia, has been due to permanent support provided for them by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General. On his part, Saudi cultural attaché in France and Spain, Dr. Abdullah Al-Khatib said that the Forum has been patronized by Saudi Embassy in Spain, adding that this important step has been implemented upon the directives of Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari.
