The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has sent a message of condolence to Uganda over the tragic plane crash yesterday in Entebbe which claimed at least seven lives. Expressing his deep sorrow and sadness over the crash, Prof Ihsanoglu regretted that the accident happened when the victims were involved in a noble peace building mission in Somalia, a fellow OIC Member State. He therefore conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government and people of Uganda for the immense loss. The Secretary General again reiterated the solidarity of the OIC with Uganda in this period of grief and prayed to God to grant eternal rest to the departed souls.
