Official: Delay in Departing Flights from King Khalid International Airport due to poor visibility

The Director General of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Mohammed bin Saad Al-Tasan announced today the departing flights will be delayed from King Khalid International Airport due to poor visibility at the airport , which is estimated to be Zero today because of a wave of dust that blanketed the city of Riyadh.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said that the reports received from the PME (Presidency of Meteorology and Environment Protection) of the low visibility noted that it will remain until 4 PM (1600 hours local time), and then it will improve gradually to about 800 meters.
Three arriving flights from Egypt were diverted to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, pointing out that the flights will be diverted either to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam or to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah until the weather gets improved, he added.
