U.S. stock index futures looked to bounce off of 12-year lows today, as investors hope that China's impending stimulus package will rally markets. About two hours before the start of trading, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were 100 points higher at 6769. The S&P 500 futures gained 12.1 points to 701.6 and Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 14.5 points to 1086.5. Oil futures rose over $1 a barrel. Weekly energy inventories are due later. The Wall Street Journal reported that “investors got a bit of good news from the housing industry Wednesday, as homebuilder Toll Brothers said its loss in the fiscal first quarter narrowed as it slashed expenses. Still, revenue plummeted 51 percent as the company sold fewer homes. Toll Brothers shares were up 0.8 percent in premarket trading.” -
