Dr. Bandar Mohammed Al-Aiban, the Chief of Human Rights Commission who is leading the Saudi delegation received here today on the fringe of the 9th session of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), a number of Arab and German delegations. He received Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid Guenter Nooke. During the meeting, they addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly the Palestinian issue and the repeated Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. Dr. Al Aiban reiterated the Kingdom's rejection of the aggression that claimed the lives of many unarmed Palestinians and led to the displacement of several others. He pointed to the important role played by the Saudi leadership on the regional and international levels especially with regard to human rights. --MORE
