Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Mohieddin Khojah, Saudi Minister of Culture and Information arrived here today on a visit during which he will open activities of the Saudi Cultural Days in the Republic of Yemen which will last until March 02, 2009. On arrival at Sanaa International Airport, DR Khoja was greeted by Yemeni Minister of Culture Dr. Mohammed Abu Bakr AlMeflehi and Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Ali Al Hamdan and a number of Saudi and Yemeni officials. In an arrival statement, Dr Khoja expressed his great pleasure over visiting the historic old city of Sana'a of the 'Seven Gates' that reflects the gates of history, peace, fraternity and the famous Yemeni wisdom. He said "While entering the doors of this city, I feel that all doors of history, have opened for me, my pride hikes when I visit this city to attend the Saudi Cultural Days' celebration - an event that gather the intellectuals and writers of the two countries. The joint cultural events reflect real cohesion between peoples, especially in light of the historical relations that bring together the traditional leaders of the two countries and their peoples" Dr. Khoja added. He pointed out that the cultural relations are perspectives for dialogue and enrichment of experiences and expertise between the two countries to reflect the joint unity and cohesion of Saudi -Yemen relations. The Minister of Culture and Information expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Yemeni Minister of Culture, for his great efforts in the context of the preparation for these events to be hosted by three Yemeni cities - Sana'a, Aden and Mukalla.
