The number of cholera cases in Zimbabwe has reached 80,250, including 3,759 deaths, Xinhua quoted the World Health Organization (WHO) as saying. The current fatality rate of the epidemic, which has been spreading since last August, is still as high as 4.7 percent. According to the UN agency, all 10 provinces of Zimbabwe have been affected by the epidemic. WHO, together with its partners, has set up a Cholera Command and Control Center in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare, said WHO spokesperson Fadela Chaib. The role of the center is to coordinate the response to the cholera outbreak and provide technical coordination for partners, she said.
