More people have died of cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, as an additional nine deaths were reported on Thursday in the country's central province of Midland, bringing the total death toll up to 94 in the country, Xinhua reported. The cholera outbreak was reported to have spread to Gweru, a city about 300 km south of Harare where nine people have died while 28 others have been diagnosed as having the disease, The Chronicle reported on Thursday. This brings the cholera death toll in Midlands to 13 after four others died in Zvishavane's Murowa area in the province recently, the newspaper said. The cholera outbreak which took place on Saturday in southern Zimbabwe city of Beitbridge killed a total of 44 people. The disease has also claimed 37 lives in Harare over the last three weeks. The government has teamed up with other stakeholders in mobilizing resources to fight the spread of cholera in the country.
