The volume of the market of information technologies and services of domestic make has reached 1 billion US dollars, Itar-Tass quoted Russian President Dmitry Medvedev as saying at a meeting of the Council on the development of information society in Russia on Thursday. “In recent years information technologies and services have become a considerable item of our civilian non-raw material export reaching the level of 1 billion US dollars,” he stressed. Medvedev said that according to latest data, “every fourth Russian family has a computer.” “However, regarding the key indicators in this sphere we are so far way behind developed countries,” the Russian president stated.
