Minister of Commerce receives Chinese AQSIQ officials

Abdullah Ahmed Zainel, Minister of Commerce and Industry as well as Chairman of the board of Director of Saudi Arabia Standards Organization (SASO) received here today Chinese Minister of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) Wang Yong and accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of technical cooperation activities in the field of standardization between the SASO and standards in Saudi Arabia and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China AQSIQ.
In 2007, the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached an amount of SR 92, 504 million. Out of this amount, the value of exports accounted for SR 59,840 while imports amounted to SR32, 664 million riyals.
