On behalf of Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, Ibrahim Mazayd Al khattaf opened the seventh meeting of the neurological diseases organized by the Directorate General of Health Affairs in Madinah, represented by King Fahd Hospital, in Meridian Hotel Madinah. Speaking on the occasion, Abdi Mohammed Kareem, Neurology consultant at King Fahd Hospital said the three-day meeting is the first of its kind to be held in Madinah with participation of 15 Saudi consultants and other 40 international consultants. He said the meeting activities will include the launching of Saudi Stroke Association (SSA) at (www.SSA.org.sa ), and the second meeting of the same association in addition to a special meeting of Saudi Multiple Sclerosis Advisory Group as well as a special workshop on epilepsy and polio diseases. Dr. Khalid Abdulaziz Yaseen, the Director General of Clinical Medicine said in his remarks today "We welcome this conference, which will be an in-depth review for the latest medical and therapeutic advances in the field of neurological diseases through scientific methodology. "We will also be enriched by the outcome of the conference with documented experiences. It will also serve as a beneficial window to facilitate exchange of expertise".
