Multiple sclerosis awareness day

The Neurology Department at King Abdul Aziz National Guard Medical City for the National Guard in Jeddah is hosting on Thursday Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Day to highlight the nature of the disease and discuss developments in its diagnosis and treatment and their psychological implications. Dr. Hussein Al-Qahtani, a consultant neurologist at the medical city, said that the disease has spread considerably in recent years in Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, with between four and 24 cases being registered for every 120,000 people.
