At the first session of the first meeting of the joint ministerial committee, Yemen and Kuwait have signed 10 contracts on promoting cooperation in the security, cultural, tourism, and economic areas besides agreements for technical cooperation, 'SABA' news agency reported. The two countries also signed an agreement for the setting up of a joint ministerial committee and a deal for cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs. Moreover, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry struck a deal. The cultural agreement calls for cooperation in documentation and training and the exchange of publications and information as well as experts. Opening the first session, Minister of Foreign Abu Bakr al-Qirbi hailed the developing Yemeni-Kuwaiti relations, saying the meeting of the joint committee comes to demonstrate the interest of the two countries in pushing forward the bilateral relationship.
