The new date of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Ministerial Committee meeting has been set on February 7 – 8, well-informed sources affirmed on Thursday. The sources told the weekly 26 September that the committee to be convened in Aden governorate would be co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affaires Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affaires Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah. The committee's proceedings will tackle several issues pertaining to means of enhancing cooperation and bilateral ties in the different fields of policy, economy and culture. Yemen and Kuwait has signed an agreement of $ 50 million as a part of the Kuwaiti commitments to Yemen at London Donor Conference. The preparatory committee of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Ministerial Committee signed initially in Aden on December 2nd a cooperation minute in the technical, development and economic fields. The minute includes formation of a joint ministerial committee under the co-chairmanship of the two countries' Foreign Ministers. The preparatory committee, co-chaired by Undersecretary of Planning and International Cooperation Ministry Hisham Sharaf and the head of the Arab World Department at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Jasem al-Mubarki, suggested 15 new cooperation agreement drafts in several fields such as tourism, education, higher education, technical education, endowment, documentation, trade exchange, diplomacy and security, according to a report of Yemen News Agency "SABA."
