Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz accompanied by Prince Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Saud and Chief of Private Affairs at the Royal Court Ibrahim Al-Tasan paid a visit to King Abdullah Institute for Nano Technology (KAIN) at King Saud University (KSU). Prince Khalid was received by KSU Rector Dr. Abdullah Al-Othman and university deputies as well as KAIN Dean Dr. Salman Al-Rakyan. Dr. Al-Rakyan, who briefed the prince on the progress made by the institute in the field of nano technology, noted that KAIN is doing a lot of research in a variety of areas including water treatment, communications, medicine, food, modeling etc. Al-Rakyan added that the institute has a group of Nobel Laureates who significantly contribute to the research conducted by KAIN. The recently established institute aims at creating high qualified local graduates, raising public awareness of nanoscience and technology as well as forming partnerships with international universities and nano technology centers.
