Yemeni Vice-president Lt Abdu Rabbu Mansour opened here today the 66th conference for the Council of the GCC Health Ministers. Speaking on the occasion, he said the organization of the conference in Sanaa represents an important step towards cementing partnership between Yemen and the GCC states. He noted that Yemen constitutes a strategic depth for the GCC member states. The Yemeni Vice-president underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation among the GCC member states for combating diseases and promotion of health services. He lauded the initiative of Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Ophthalmology Society, in the field of combating blindness as well as the role of the Council of the health ministers in promoting health services in the GCC states. --MORE
