Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the President of the higher commission for tourism and antiquities and Head of the council of the social responsibility in Riyadh region, underlined the importance of activating the social responsibility and conducting studies on the programs of sustainable development. In a speech at the inaugural session of the forum of social partnership and responsibility between the private and public sectors here today, read on his behalf by Dr Abdulaziz al-Mikeirin, the deputy chairman of the council of social responsibility at Riyadh's chamber of commerce and industry, Prince Sultan bin Salman said 'our ambitions should match with the status of the Kingdom --the country of humanity, which has been steadily going forward despite challenges'. He called for building bridges of cooperation and coordination between the institutions and the concerned authorities and giving priority to programs of training based on projects of social responsibility. He noted that the council of social responsibility is keen on enhancing the social responsibility. He said the organization of this forum under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz reflects honoring the Saudi private sector and reiterates the confidence of the state on the private sector, and it will enhance the value of partnership in confronting challenges and future making. Refuting the vision that the social responsibility is a result of the globalization phenomenon, Prince Sultan bin Salman said it is based on Islamic, human and national bases. On his part, minister of social affairs Dr Yousef al-Otheimin urged the private sector to positively contribute to the service of the society.
