The 10th meeting of the Saudi-Japanese Business Council was held here today in the presence of Saudi ambassador to Japan Faisal Hassan Tarrad. Speaking on the occasion, Tarrad underscored the importance of the Saudi-Japanese relations and said the relations were further enhanced by the historical visit paid by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, to Japan in 2006, as well as the historical visit paid by former Japanese Premier to the Kingdom in 2007. The Saudi Japanese relations have been transformed into ties of strategic dimensions at various levels, he said. Tarrad pointed out that the Council constitutes the most important element for the strategic partnership, and said the Saudi embassy in Tokyo has been extending facilities to the Japanese businessmen to enable them obtain entry visas within 24 hours. --MORE
