Nearly 50 people are still missing two days after a massive fire swept through a supermarket in downtown Nairobi, the government said Friday as Red Cross workers sifted through the charred debris. Joseph Mwangi, spokesman for Kenya's Disaster Management Center, said 47 people have been reported missing since the blaze at the Nakumatt supermarket. No bodies have been recovered but the debris has continued to smolder, making it difficult to properly search parts of the store, police said. Authorities have said an electrical fault might be to blame for the fire.
