Emergency workers in Bangladesh pulled one more charred body from the debris of a garment factory that was destroyed by fire, raising the blaze's death toll to 23, an official said Sunday. Five workers were still missing after the fire destroyed the Sun Knit garment factory late Thursday in Siddhirganj, an industrial town near Dhaka, said fire brigade official Nurul Islam. Nearly 500 workers _ many of them women _ were in the four-storey factory when the fire occurred, Islam said. Rescuers had recovered 22 charred bodies Friday. Victims had been trapped in the factory because most of the exits were locked.
