Quds city (JERUSALEM), January 29, SPA -- President Barack Obama's new Mideast envoy has arrived in the West Bank town of Ramallah for talks with the Western-backed Palestinian government. He is seeking to prop up a Gaza cease-fire and restart broader peace talks, according to a report of Associated Press. George Mitchell is on a regional tour to determine the next steps the Obama administration should take toward reviving peace negotiations following Israel's blistering military offensive. He was seen entering Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' headquarters for their meeting Thursday and was due to meet later in the day with Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
