Ismail Haniyeh, the Prime Minister of the deposed Palestinian Government said last night after the announcement of the unilateral cease-fire that Palestinian people have achieved a very dear victory in the face of Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip. Haniyeh said in a televised speech that the Palestinians have succeeded in stopping the aggression and that the enemy failed to achieve any of its objectives, praising the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation forces. “We are at a moment of triumph to continue a strategic way to liberate the Holy Mosque of Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds (Jerusalem). He pointed out that the victory achieved constitutes a platform for dialogue to reach the Palestinian national reconciliation, and turns the page of the internal dispute. Haniyeh called for sending international commissions of inquiry into the Gaza Strip to investigate the Israeli crimes in the Strip. He added that he would provide emergency aid to all the Palestinian families whose homes have been destroyed by the Israeli aggression.
