The Saudi newspapers commented today editorially on a number of topics and shed light on the Kingdom's stand vis-à-vis the Palestinian problem. They noted that the Saudi officials have been preoccupied by the Palestinian problem since the era of the Kingdom's founder King Abdulaziz. The papers added that it will not be a strange matter if the Saudi Government extended moral and material support to the Palestinian people and exerted efforts for helping the people of Gaza strip. The papers noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has inaugurated the donation campaign for the people of Gaza by a sr 30 million donation and ordered for airlifting the injured Palestinians to the Kingdom's hospitals. Meanwhile, the papers shed light on the visit of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to the Kingdom and his meeting with the King, and said the visit has come within the framework of the existing coordination and consultations between the two Leaders. Amid the Israeli defiance to the resolutions of the international legitimacy, the Saudi-Egyptian summit was held to consider the measures that should be taken to force Israel comply with the resolutions of the international legitimacy. --more
